On March 4, 2020, California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency in response to the threats posed by COVID-19. While most Americans will assuredly pull together to help and support each other during these difficult times, there will unfortunately be some who use this emergency to take advantage of consumers by unlawfully increasing prices on necessary goods and services.
