The 2015 Special Olympics World Games are coming to the US!  Be a part of this moment in history ...

Torch RunThis year the Special Olympics World Games comes to Los Angeles from Greece. Be a part of history and join BPPD on Monday, July 20, 2015, in supporting these amazing athletes! The Flame of Hope has been traveling across the seas from Greece, throughout the United States and now into Southern California, which will stop briefly at the police station at 3:25 p.m. The event will ultimately reach the Opening Ceremony in the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The Buena Park Police SWAT Team will proudly escort the athletes from Knott’s Berry Farm, where we pick up the torch from Cypress Police Department personnel, and run alongside our Country’s Olympians to the police station for a ceremony in their honor. We are proud to support the athletes, coaches and volunteers. Please come out and cheer on their hard work and efforts!
