The police department has one full-time custodian who works strictly in the maintaining of the police building. The custodian dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture and woodwork; replenishes janitorial supplies; empties and cleans receptacles; and does general work as related to the upkeep of the police facility. A janitorial contract service is also utilized. During the evening hours and on weekends, a part-time janitor assists with custodial needs and services. The police department is maintained by the City’s Maintenance Department, which works closely with the police department to ensure all aspects of the building is functional and in good working order. |
